An incomplete cast copper alloy open-worked stirrup strap mount of Early Medieval date (c.AD 1000-1100). Williams Class B, Group 3 (with single animal head).
The remains of the mount consists of the attachment end of the plate and a portion of the main body. The object is sub-rectangular in shape, with an open work design with a raased knop in the centre of the outer face. No incised details are remaining and the reverse is undecorated. An incomplete copper alloy strap end dating to the early medieval period (c.AD 900-1000). It fits within Thomas (2004) Class E, Type 4.
The strap end consists of the back portion and part of the main body. It is decorated on one side only and presents an openwork interlaced design within a raised rectangular border. Incised dots decorate the back edge of the border. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The attachment lip has four rivet holes; one is incomplete, two are whole and empty and the fourth retains the iron rivet. The object has a smooth dark green / dark brown patina.

The weight has eight unequal sides with each face presenting incised lines of inconsistent directions. One face appears to have a square in the centre. The edges are rounded which may be due to abrasion from the sea (found on coastland).The object has a smooth dark grey patina.

A complete copper alloy gilded Ringerike-style buckle dating to the early medieval period (c.AD 950-1100).
The buckle has a D-shaped frame that is decorated with a moulded relief interlaced design. In the centre of the apex of the frame is a sub-rectangular groove for the pin rest. At the opposite end, the pin bar is narrowed from the frame and has a circular section. A copper alloy wire pin is wrapped once around the bar and the tip settles within the pin rest. The reverse is undecorated. The frame presents small patches of gilding and has a bright green patina.
