A copper alloy half-round side knob from an early medieval, Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch (c.AD 475-550). The object has a D-shaped based that is decorated with three bands of grooves. Underneath the base is a traverse groove an circular perforation through the centre of the knob. From the base, the body is notched to present a narrowed waist. At the end of the knob is a slightly flattened down with a vertivle notched incised from the centre downwards, a small circle is present at the tip of the dome. An incomplete copper alloy stiurrup terminal dating to the early medieval period (c.AD 1000-1100). The object is broadly U-shaped in section and has worn breaks on each side. The surface is moulded with decoration, likely zoomorphic, however it is too incomplete. It has a smooth light green patina. An incomplete copper alloy knob from an Early Medieval Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch, dating to c.AD 420-570. Its shape means it may be from the top or side of a cruciform brooch attached to a rectangular head. The knob has a pointed head flaring into a flat top, a small waist which then flares out into a circular foot, then with a base to attach to the pin bar. An incomplete copper alloy Anglo-Saxon small-long bow brooch dating to c.AD 450-550. Only the head plate has survived, which has is flat an in a trefoil shape with 3 knobs. There is evidence of the pin arrangement at the back. The pin was likely made of iron indicated by the iron corrosion around the pin arrangement. An incomplete copper-alloy cruciform brooch of early medieval date (c.AD 450-550). All that is missing from the object is the pin. The head of the brooch is cruciform, with each arm of the cross made up of semi-circular knops projecting from a central square plate. These are separated with semi-circular incised edges and inscribed transverse ridges. The face of the bow is concave, with the wo sides meeting at a point, the lower half of the bow is relatively flat and the terminal flares to have a shape akin to a fish tail. A complete copper-alloy mount of Late Saxon or Anglo-Scandinavian date (c.AD 900-1000). The mount is made up of four elongated lobes, at each terminal there is a perforation for a rivet, one of which remains in place. The face of the mount is decorated with a Jellinge-style decoration, being interlaced patterns. The reverse is undecorated. The decorative style is named after a royal burial at Jellinge in Jutland.
