The incomplete head of an Early Medieval gilded copper alloy disc-headed pin, dating to c. AD 570 - 620. Description: The disc is flat and approximately circular, due to more than half of the original circumference missing. It has an outer raised border (it is along this that the missing part of the edge has broken away) and is pierced by two small circular holes. These holes are pproximately 1 mm in diameter and placed 3 mm apart, adjacent to and perpendicular to the border.
