A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy buckle, c.AD 1720-1770. A Georgian shoe buckle, complete with chape and pin. The buckle comprises a heavily arched frame, drilled spindle, chape, and pin. The frame is D-shaped in cross section, and swells along its horizontal and vertical sides, tapering to narrowed corners. The chape frame is sub-oval and has a single internal spike. It has two hollow lugs that accommodate an iron spindle. Between the lugs a copper-alloy pin is secured by the spindle. The pin is 'D'-shaped in cross-section, flat at the rear.

An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy brooch, c.AD 25-75. This brooch is probably a strip bow type brooch, of Aucissa derivative type (cf. Mackreth (2011) Chapter 6, Part 1, AVCISSA 3), tentatively identified and primarily based on the tapering bow with triangular catchplate. Strip bow (Durotrigan) brooches are also very similar to this brooch. The brooch is largely incomplete, missing the entire head and pin. There is no visible decoration on any face of this brooch. An incomplete Early Medieval cast copper alloy possible small long brooch, c.AD 450-500. The surviving element consists of a flat, possible trefoil head plate. The bow, foot and catchplate are missing. The headplate is sub-rectangular in form with an old break three sides and a waisted section leading to a triangular plate, possibly of the head. A Post Medieval fragment of a cast copper-alloy double-loop buckle, c.AD 1600-1800 (Whitehead 1996: 71, no. 443). This is a fragment of the frame, including one corner. The surfaces are wide and flat, sloping downwards at the edges; the corners of the frame are angled. The obverse is covered with cast floral decoration. The rest of the frame and pin are missing.

A complete Medieval cast copper-alloy stud (c. 1300-c. 1500). This stud is moulded at the front and hollow at the rear and in plan it is in the form of a quatrefoil. Each foil is divided by a narrow lobe which extends to the edge. The rear face has a central integral tapering spike which is square in cross-section. A casting seam joins the spike with one of the sides. It is dull green with small areas of corrosion. Length: 24.08mm; width: 23.07mm; thickness: 8.15mm; thickness including spike: 15.42mm. An almost complete Medieval cast lead personal seal matrix (c. 1200-c. 1300). From an impression, the central motif is in the form of a four petalled flower head with a small pellet in each angle. A complete late post-Medieval or Modern cast copper-alloy clog or shoe clasp (c. 1790 - c. 1930). The clasp has parallel sides. One end is rounded and the other end has a straight transverse edge. The rounded end has an integral re-curved 'anchor'-shaped hook. The clasp is corroded and in poor condition. An incomplete cast copper alloy flat axehead of Early Bronze Age date c. 2150 BC – c. 1500 BC). Length 45.1mm, width 37.1mm and 7.8mm thick. Weight 42.17g. The butt and one of the blade tips are missing and the breaks are old. The blade of the axe was probably symmetrical in plan. The blade expands from the break at the top (the butt end) and originally the wing tips flared outwards abruptly and evenly. However on this example, one of the blade tips appears to have broken and then been re-modelled or re-sharpened in antiquity to form a gently curving edge rather than a flaring tip…
