A copper alloy bridle bit, possibly dating to the late Iron Age to the Roman period (circa 100BC to 200AD). The object consists of two bars placed parallel with a central moulded collar which has been worn and thus less prominent. On each end of the bit, one bar has broken off and the other continues a short distance, curving slightly outwards before also ending in a break.
