Incomplete medieval silver coin of John (1199-1216). The coin is extremely worn with much of the inscriptions on both obverse and reverse as well as the crown near impossible to see, and with a section missing as well, identification is challenging. The coin is suspected to be Wren Class 5a (most likely 5a1), which dates it 1204-1209. From what is left of the reverse inscription, it most likely that the coin was struck by Nicole at the mint of Canterbury. The coin has a diameter of 18.24mm and weighs 1.17g.
