A cut halfpenny of Henry III (AD 1216-1272), Class III (AD 1248-50) struck at the mint in Winchester. Not enough survives of the inscription to refine the identification to a sub-class. The information about the moneyer is lost, although giving the spacing on the inscription it is most likely to be Hughe [HVGE ON WINCHE]
