A silver three pence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603) struck at the mint in London. Initial Mark: Eglantine Obverse and Ermine Reverse: Date 1573 above shield. Interestingly this coin seems to have been gilded but there is no other evidence of alteration such as application of pin or piercing to suggest it has been removed from circulation.
