An incomplete Roman silver denarius of Augustus (27 BC - AD 14) dating to the period 18 - 17 BC (Reece Period 1). Reverse depicts a Triumphal arch surmounted by a quadriga. Possibly mint of Colonia Patricia. RIC I p. 50; no. 134A - 137. The coin has been broken with less than 50% of the coin remaining.

C CAES AVGVS F reverse type depicting Gaius Caesar galloping right, holding reins in r. hand and a sword and a shield in l. hand; behind, an aquila between two standards. Mint of Lugdunum. RIC I (rev.ed.), p.54, no.199.
