The silver gilt fragment is an incomplete fragment from a larger object, most of the surviving fragment taking the form of a stylized animal head, modelled in relief. The animal head is characterized by a blunt, rounded snout with two circular recesses fore eyes, lips delineated by single incised lines, and backward projecting ear. The mouth bites a shaft of circular cross-section, while the neck has been modified to a flattened plate-like cross-section, with suggestion of an expanding flare.
