A thin, incomplete, unidentified silver component.
The item is semi-circular in plan, and retangular in cross section. It appears to be incomplete, with clean and linear break points on the two ends of the circular frame suggesting it has been cut, perhaps before it was intended to be melted down. On what is presumably the front facing surface of the component, there are two parrallel grooves which run along the circumference of the inside edge. The depth of the grooves is not uniform and at points the recesses are too faint to be visible. This may be the result of wear. The…

A heavily worn polished and clipped milled silver coin - most probably a sixpence of William III (1694-1702). The edges of the coin have been folded in three places and due to this folding and the polished nature of the coin it is suggested that this may represent a love token.

A heavily polished silver disc which may once have been a post medieval coin - Elizabeth I half-groat - Charles I half groat. An alternative identification is that it may have been a silver insert from a post medieval button. No details survive - but the surface has been marked with distinct punched points.

A pierced silver half groat or possibly a penny of Charles I - the exterior is slightly clipped and so the type is difficult to date more closely - it is likely to have been struck after 1630 and may date from the period 1642-4. The coin has been pierced by a rectangular shaped punch from the reverse though to the obverse at 11 o'clock on the reverse - the spall of the metal hole has been flattened on the obverse face.

A heavily clipped half crown of Charles I which has been trimmed to the size of a sizpence but the weight of a Shilling. Due to the loss of all the inscription it is hard to refine the date - although it is likely to correspond with the bust of the third - fifth horseman suggesting a date c. 1631-1649

A heavily worn and very polished medieval penny of Edward I (1272-1307). The mint and coin sub-type cannot be identified due to the polished condition which seems deliberate and contemporary with loss. Such augmentation might suggest that this coin was a touch piece or significant for some reason - now lost. From what remains of the bust a date in the period 1301-1310 can be suggested due to the bi-foliate type of crown.
Obverse: Crowned head facing, the crown has a high central lis, bi-foliate side fleurs and globular ornaments, the drapery is formed of wedges and there is no evi…
