A Post Medieval silver threepence of Charles II (AD1660-1685) dated AD 1679. Obverse: Laureate bust facing right, draped. The coin has been punched from the reverse to the obverse. The pierced hole is at 4 o'clock on the obverse, adjacent to the chin and on the obverse appears at 2 o'clock (to the lower right of the crown). This suggests that the coin was possibly worn as jewellery. Die axis 6. Spink (2002:p.314) no:3386.

A silver shilling of Elizabeth I, initial Mark: Bell (1582-1583). The obverse has been defaced; the word VICE has been cut into the coin using a knife point. The letter C is formed from small straight lines giving is an angular profile. Above and below the word are diagonal cut marks - possibly deliberate. The defacing of the coin is likely to have occured after a period of use, as obverse and reverse is worn; although the obverse may have been deliberately scuffed to obliterate the portrait.
