The inscription on the shield is illegible but would have read VOT V MVLT X. Mint unknown. Diameter: 19.25mm. Thickness: 2.15mm. Weight: 2.77g. Die axis: 12 o'clock.

A copper-alloy nummus of Magnentius (AD 350-353) dating to the period AD 351-353 (Reece period 18). Reverse type VICT[ORIAE DD NN AVG] ET [CAES] depicting two Victories standing, facing each other, holding between them a wreath inscribed 'VOT V MVLT X'. Uncertain mint. This coin has been pierced at off centre at approximately 5 o'clock on the obverse. The hole has been pierced from the reverse face to the obverse face and the remnants of coin removed. The head is very large and crude with a large (out of scale) ear and eye, protruding chin and pointed stub nose. The obverse inscription is worn and illegible.
