A near complete example of a medieval - post medieval copper-alloy miniature 'fuddling cup', dating from AD 1400 - 1700. The piece consists of three miniature cauldrons or posnets which are conjoined. They are rudimentary in form with simple, pinched handles which have been partly abraded. The bodies are sub-circular in plan and have convex sides. A complete, medieval, gilded copper alloy annular brooch with pin in situ dating from AD1200-1400. These were pinned at the neck to fasten two parts of clothing together (Ward-Perkins 1940, 237-75), or used purely decoratively by both men and women. The frame for the brooch is circular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. It is 2.4mm thick and 4.5mm wide. CONSTANTINOPOLIS type, with reverse depicting Victory on prow with sceptre and shield. Mint unknown. Coin is considerably worn. Its original patina has been removed through cleaning. The edges have been abraded and most parts of the inscription are not legible.

Description: A late Roman gold amulet case dating to circa AD 200-400. The object is formed from sheet metal rolled to form a cylindrical tube with two suspension loops. The tube is closed at both ends. The two suspension loops are formed from sheet metal that has been rolled to form a circular loop. The sheet metal for the loops has vertical moulded ribs.
