Cast copper alloy disc brooch with enamelled decoration of Roman date (80-250 AD). The brooch is broadly circular in plan. The front face is slightly dished (concave) with a raised cast design and recessed panels. Little remains of the enamelled surface; however from what survives a blue or possibly green coloured central enamelled panel is present. The design consists of a central raised pellet enclosed by a series of six cast conjoined crescents forming an irregular six pointed star / six petalled flower. An incomplete probable copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date (c. AD 1250 - 1450). The strap end is a tapering trapezoid in plan; the strip tapers to a sub-circular knop. the front of the strip possibly has an inlay or applied layer of sheet metal which has been detached slightly where the strp end has been bent. Any decoration has been obscured by corrosion and wear however there is an S shaped, double lined feature which could have been part of an original pattern. The reverse is not visibly decorated. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle frame of Post-Medieval date (c. AD 1600 - 1700). The frame is L shaped in plan and irregular in profile; there are two broken edges. The corner of the frame is trefoil in shape on the exterior edge and curved on the inerior edge. There is a semi-circular protrusion on the reverse of the frame with a sub-circular perforation where the strap bar would originally have been mounted; the strap bar has been lost. An irregular cast lead alloy vessel repair (pot mend) of probably Roman, Medieval or Post-Medieval date (c. AD 50 - 1800). In plan the repair is irregular and has a slight H shaped section. There are no remnants of pottery within the H shaped section. These types of mend were used during many different periods. Part of the surface has been abraded in the ploughsoil.
The vessel repair measures 31.3mm length, 25.6mm width is 10.3mm thick and weighs 30.6grams. The H section has a groove of variable width - 2.9mm at its widest.
