A copper alloy (brass?) coin weight of uncertain post medieval date. The weight is heavily eroded and corroded and little of the original surfaces survive. This makes identification difficult. A cast copper alloy and white metal fitting / unidentified object of uncertain but probable post medieval date (c.1600-1750). The artefact seems to be composite - in that it is formed in two parts a copper alloy section and a white metal possibly tin or silver sheet. The object was originally made for a purpose - it is just that that function is now difficult to identify from the part present. A lead alloy shot / ball of probable post medieval or early modern date (1600-1800 AD). Due to the size and weight the ball is most likely to be from a large carbine or musket. The shot is sub spherical in shape with an uneven surface and a clear casting seam from the mould is present; there is no evidence of the shot having been fired. It is a mid-grey colour with an abraded patina. A copper alloy coin of uncertain date. The coin appears to be of late Roman date (c.AD 305-360) and is heavily worn. The thickness of the coin though looks more like a milled flan and as such it is more likely to be late post medieval in date. The coin is recorded only because of its potential for being Roman and the uncertainty of the recorder.

An incomplete lead alloy seal or possible unifaced token of late medieval or post medieval date. The artefact is broken across the mid point and less than half the original artefact survives. Originally it would have been circular, now it is an irregular semi-circular shape. The breaks are old and patinated; the exterior edge is also abraded by movement in the ploughsoil. A late medieval or early post-medieval (1400-1600) chape from a dagger scabbard. The chape is made from folded copper-alloy sheet that has been crimped and hammered at the edges to create the form. It is an irregular sub-rectangular shape, with tapering edges in plan and an irregular oval shape in cross section. A silver short cross penny of John, most probably class V (class 5) struck by the moneyer Adam at the mint in Winchester between AD 1204 - 1207. It is possible that the coin is actually of Class 6 as the form of x in REX is more commonly on these coins. Also noteworthy is the square shaped punched hole positioned at 8 o'clock on the field. The hole has been made from obverse through to reverse. The positionoing of the hole does not suggest the coin was holed to enable it to be worn as a pendant / jewellery.

A cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl Medieval to Post Medieval date (1100 - 1650 AD), most probably later medieval (1300-1600 AD). The spindle whorl is broadly circular in plan and bi-convex in section; it has a rim / cast ridge running around its outer edge. The central hole is circular and has been cast / set off centre; it has an internal diameter of 9.3mm. An incomplete fragment from the head and upper bow of a cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. The fragment of the brooch is distorted with the bow being further bent and distorted - probably deliberately in antiquity. The head of the brooch is oval in plan.
