An extremely corroded and incomplete Roman copper alloy nummus of Gratian dating to the period AD 367 - 375 (Reece Period 19). [GLORIA NOVI SAECVLI] reverse type depicting the emperor standing holding standard and shield. Mint of Arles. As RIC IX, p. 66, no. 15. The coin has been pierced twice, presumably for attachment. Both holes have broken.

A small late medieval cast copper alloy three part composite strap end, with both facing plates and the spacer remaining. The strap end is 21.5mm in length with a small pointed knop at the centre of the rounded front edge. The rear edge is slightly concave with pointed corners. There is a single rivet hole through the centre of the plate which retains a copper alloy rivet.

A cast copper alloy late medieval button with a sub rectangular convex head. The front has a worn moulded design, possibly a quatrefoil or fleur-de-lys. The shank is integrally cast and is flat and lozengiform in shape with a drilled attachment hole.

A large and incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy double looped buckle. The outer edge of the remaining loop has a moulded lobe in the form of a scallop shell, with transverse incised grooves. There are small lobes at either end of the strap bar. A pointed copper alloy pin with a trapezoidal cross section is retained on the bar.

A fragment of a single looped cast copper alloy trapezoidal medieval buckle with a concave groove running across the straight front edge. The upper surface has faint decoration in the form of a line flanked by pellets running to either side of the notched pin rest. The remaining side has a narrow sub rectangular cross section.

A copper alloy sliding knot bracelet of Roman date. A single round strand (3mm diam) with two terminals of five coils formed from the strand. Patinated brown original surface with patches of green/blue corrosion, and iron corrosion within the terminal coils. A worn post medieval lead alloy token of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603), issued circa 1574-1590. The obverse depicts a double headed eagle and the reverse a crowned rose. The reverse inscription is unclear. Other tokens of this type have been recorded on the PAS database (e.g. LON-87200F, IOW-3AAA72 and SUR-8EBEA7) but they are uncommon. North (1991) suggested that they were normally found in London however the PAS database has a number recorded from across the country.

An incomplete eye section from an early Post Medieval toggle clasp, possibly from a sword belt or hanger. The remaining portion comprises the openwork plate, which has a central hole flanked with cusps with trefoil knops on each side and bifurcate knops at either end, which flank rivet holes. A cast copper alloy fragment of a suspension fitting of medieval to early post medieval date. The fragment comprises two arcs of a bi or trifoliate whole, with one arc being slightly smaller than the other and the larger arc having a straight side which ends in a break. The sides are slightly bevelled suggesting an intentional orientation to the fixture. Either a purse hanger (see LIN-887AC5) or part of a chafing dish drop handle (see LANCUM-061731).
