A bone pin or possibly a needle carved from a long, thin and naturally curved bone, 101.4mm in length. One end is sharpened to a point and the other comprises a head which flares slightly into a spatulate end, 9.2mm wide, which is crudely finished, with the spongey internal bone structure being exposed and a large area of surface damage being present. There is no evidence of a loop or hole. The shaft is 6mm in maximum diameter with a surface that is faceted from carving and polished from use. A fragment of the neck of a large Roman coarse white oxidised ware vessel, probably from an amphora or large jar. The fabric is pale buff with a pink core and abundant fine sandy and infrequent poorly sorted larger flint inclusions. The neck is 15.6mm thick with a prominent flange and would have been around 80mm in external diameter.

Both interior and exterior surfaces have a black slip with a satiny finish. The exterior surface has a band of rouletted decoration between incised circumferential lines. A large body sherd from a medieval jug, flagon or bottle made from a slip-coated ware. The sherd comprises the upper portion of the body at the base of the neck, with the stump of a round-sectioned (20mm diameter) curved handle projecting. The fabric is hard fine and white to buff throughout, with abundant fine quartz sand inclusions. The exterior has a charcoal grey slip and decorative mouldings in the form of a ridge around the neck and a diagonal band of cross-hatched raised lines across the body.

A medieval (1250 - 1450) copper-alloy domed sexfoil belt mount, formed from a sheet of metal stamped into a six-lobed dome, each lobe separated by a V-shaped indentation. Two rivets and roves remain in situ in opposing lobes, one of which also contains a large circular aperture intentionally cut above it (diameter 2.6mm in diameter). The mount stands 5.6mm tall with a diameter of 15.8mm and weighs 1.02g. The head of each rivet measures c.1.8mm in diameter and the diameter of the roves to the reverse are c.4.5mm. The lengths of the rivets are 3.3mm - 3.6mm.

A medieval (1250-1450) copper alloy rectangular strap-end, folded widthways and bent a little. The open end is secured with two rivets c.3mm in length, their heads c.2mm in diameter. The strap-end is parallel-sided and narrows from 2.3mm at the open end to 0.8mm at the closed, folded end. The object measures 20.7mm in length, 12.9mm in max.width, 3.1mm in max.thickness (at the rivets) and weighs 1.70g. The patina of the metal is smooth and light brown in colour.

An incomplete post-medieval base silver seal matrix, dating probably to the 17th century. It consists of the matrix and part of the conical handle only. The matrix 1s oval in shape and depicts a central tree with wide flowering branches, a vertical trunk and a complex knot-work system of roots at the other end (of similar width to the branches). A folded post-medieval groat of Mary (1553-54), [pomegranate privy mark], struck at the Tower, London, 1553-4. The edges of the reverse face of the coin have been folded backwards in three places, giving the coin a rectangular shape. The first fold is between 10/11 and 3 o'clock, the second between 3 and 6/7 o'clock, the third between 6/7 and 10/11 o'clock. The obverse is completely concealed by the folds and not visible at all. The original coin has an estimated original diameter of c.23mm. Reference: North 1960

The base measures 34.2mm in diameter, narrowing to 32.3mm immediately above before widening to the (old) break, 46.9mm in diameter. It stands 36.3mm high and weighs 37.00g. The fabric is orange in colour and sandy with small, medium and large incusinos. The colour-coating is a dark grey in colour and apparent to both external and internal surfaces.

The fabric is dark orange in colour with numerous small quartzite inclusions and sparse medium-sized dark grey inclusions. It measures 67.1x54.5mm with a max.thickness of 11.6mm at the rim and 5.4mm at the body. It weighs 42.94g and its estimated original external diameter at the rim is 145mm.

An incomplete post-medieval unglazed biscuit ware (London Delft ware) vessel, perhaps an ointment jar, coffee cup or small dish, dating to the 17th to early 18th century. It comprises the base of a vessel with old water-worn breks and a complete foot-ring to the underside. The fabric is buff in colour with numerous small orange and dark grey inclusions, and some micaceous inclusions. The foot ring has a diameter of 38.5mm (internal 32.0mm) and stands 8.5mm high. The sherd measures 62.3mm in length, 53.7mm in width, stands 27.1mm high and weighs 26.69g.

An incomplete clay pipe of early modern date (1850-1900), missing almost all of the stem (old break) and with a little damage around the mouth of the bowl (old damage). There is no sign of a heel and the casting seam is clearly visible. To each face, either side of the casting seam, is a raised skull above raised crossed bones. The hole in the stem (1.9mm diameter) is off-centre. The incomplete clay pipe measures 35.9mm in length, 28.5mm in max.width, 34.1mm in height and weighs 13.35g. The mouth measures 23.8x23.2mm (internal 19.9x19.5mm).
