A Post Medieval ceramic fragment of a London Delftware (tin-glazed earthenware) polychrome floor tile (c.1618-c.1660). The fragment includes one corner of the decorated 'medallion' style tile. Originally the tile was square, only one corner remains now. The surviving fragment includes part of a central motif painted in yellow/green with blue outline against a blue and white background but there is not enough surviving to identify the subject. A large but incomplete ceramic fragment of Roman tegula roof tile, dating to AD 43 - 410. The tile is 33mm thick with a shallow arch in profile, the top surface is smooth while the underside is very rough. The surfaces and the core are dark orangish red. The fabric has large white inclusions.
