A complete copper alloy late Iron Age to Roman end-looped cosmetic mortar with bird-headed loop dating c. 100BC - AD 200. The mortar comprises a crescentic rod base with outwardly curving sided, on the top side is a U-shaped channel which tapers to a curved terminal at each end. The forward tip has been formed into semi-circular terminal with a recessed grove forming a collar brow. Projection from the rear of the opposite end is the oval suspension loop, this has a notch semi-circular notch cut into the lower section to form a beak, and an off centre hole in the middle. Copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill dating AD 75-200. It has rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings that would have held the pin axis bar which is now missing. The head of the bow has a tapering triangular panel with expanded shoulders. In the centre of the head are two raised lines that converge at the apex of the bow forming a V-shaped crest with a third raised line in the centre that has a loop at the top for the external cord. The lower part of the bow is truncated resulting in the loss of the catchplate.

Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate surmounted by a truncated loop. On the reverse are the remains of two rearward facing perforated lug that would have held the spring. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate with a moulded knee below at the apex of the bow, the lower part of the leg protrudes below but is truncated resulting in the loss of the catchplate.
