Silver denarius of Commodus, AD180-92. Reece period 9. Struck at Rome. The obverse shows the bust of Commodus with a beard and laureate crown, facing right. The inscription has been worn away. The reverse shows Libertas standing left and holding a pileus in her right hand. Corrosion and wear on the reverse means that the left hand and inscription are not visible. The coin is 2.84 grams, 16.55 mm diameter
