A Roman copper alloy dupondius, probably of Lucilla (AD 164-169). Reece period 8. Possible PIETAS reverse, Pietas standing left holding box in left hand and right hand over alter. Minted in Rome. It is possible to date this coin to the mid 2nd century, based on the style of hair. The bust most resembles Lucilla, with the bun lower down the neck. The coin is very worn with mid-dark green and brown pattination across the entire surface. Dimensions: diameter: 30.41 mm; weight: 16.03g.
