A complete silver Medieval coin; a penny of Edward III (AD 1327 - 1377), Post-Treaty period (AD 1369 - 1377). Mint of York. The initial mark is missing where part of the edge of the coin has broken, but there are saltire stops and a cross saltire on the breast. North number 1295. The coin is broken in two pieces. Obverse: +[EDWARDVS x RE]X x ANGLIE; Crowned bust facing forward. Reverse: [CIVI/TAS/]EBO/RACI; Long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle. Quatrefoil in centre.

Obverse shows forward facing crowned bust with mullet to left and lis to right. Reverse is long cross with quatrefoil at centre with three pellets in each quarter. The flan is severely clipped and no inscription exists. The coin is 13mm in diameter and weighs 0.7g.

A Medieval pennyof Edward I-III (AD1272-1377). The coin is incredibly worn. The obverse depicts a forward facing bust with the inscription reading [ED]WARDVS R[---]. the reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quatre and a quatrefoil in the centre. The inscription reads [CIVI / TAS] / EBOR / ACI. The quatrefoil in the centre also indicates that it was minted in York. Dimensions: diameter: 17.08; weight: 0.94g.

The inscription reads CIVI / TAS / [EBOR / ACI]. The coin appears to have been misstruck and is bent slightly on the unstamped edge of the flan. Dimensions: diameter: 18.37 mm; weight: 1.01g.
