An incomplete copper alloy Headstud type brooch, dating from the Roman period (AD75-200)
The brooch has a T-shaped head with short wings and a sub-oval loop attachment. The loop does not survive. The broken head crest is decorated with three stepped lines or grooves leading to the loop, and also five steps/grooves on either wing; one wider groove on each has a 'wavy' line set against a black enamel background on the wings, red on the crest. An incomplete copper alloy brooch, probably of the postmedieval or modern period, probably 1850 - 1950 AD.
The brooch is formed of two sheet-metal pressed circular plates, one forming a back plate and the other the face. The centre is hollow and contains soil. It is 31.9mm in diameter, 3.6mm thick and weighs 6.0g. The surfaces are rough and brown in colour, with areas of green copper corrosion products. Breaks are old and patinated.

An incomplete copper alloy trumpet brooch of the Roman period, dated to AD75-200.
The trumpet style head of the brooch is almost in the shape of a lozenge with a rounded face. On the reverse is a fragment of a centrally positioned lug; no pin or spring remain and the breaks to the lug are worn and corroded. A circular sectioned bow extends from the front of the head curving and widening into a sub spherical 'acanthus' knop moulding. Traces of decoration can be seen on the knop in the form of outlined triangles The bow terminates with a worn break below the moulding.

The brooch is curvilinear in form resulting in a roughly S-shaped form with wider rectangular 'lozenge' shaped central panel; both zoomoprhic terminals have been lost and the breaks are old and worn. A complete cooper alloy and gilt annular brooch, of the medieval period, dating from c.AD 1250-1400.
The brooch has a circular frame and a pin, complete and in situ. The frame has a convex upper surface with a slightly flattened outer flange and a flat reverse. A constriction in the frame, approximately 2.3mm wide at the perimeter, holds the fixed end of the pin in place. A copper alloy brooch/badge of the Modern period (c.1930-1950AD ).
The brooch has an elongate S-shaped plan with bifoliate terminals. The central portion widens to reveal a cavity with five circular dimples, presumably settings for now-lost crystals, glass or enamel insets. An additional knop composed of three circular plano-convex additions provides the surface for the attachment of the brooch hinge on the reverse. The rest of the reverse is undecorated and the pin has been lost.

This brooch consists of a circular ring and a wire pin. The ring has a oval shaped cross section; the outer edge being curved and the inner edge roughly flat. The faces are somewhat flattened. There is a 3.5mm long thickened region (where the ring is 3.0mm wide), possibly where the ring has been formed by joining two ends of metal with solder. A fragment of a copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch (c.AD75-175 AD).
The fragment comprises the head with a portion of the brooch with an open spring surviving on one side. The face of the brooch has the very worn traces of decoration, including a central ridge connecting to an outer loop with two diagonal recesses. The brooch is broken at the point where the head connects to the bow. The shape of the head suggests this is a trumpet brooch, but without further decoration it is impossible to assign it a more specific type or date.

An incomplete cast Roman copper alloy brooch of the dragonesque type dating from c. AD50-200.
The brooch comprises the 'S' shaped openwork plate, essentially the body of the brooch, missing both terminal heads and the pin. The openwork plate is shaped from a 'D' shaped frame forming the outline of the body, with two further strands of the frame scrolling outwards from the centre. The reverse of the brooch is flat. An incomplete copper alloy brooch from the Medieval period (AD1200-1300).
The frame of the brooch is sub-rectangular shaped in plan and is decorated on the corners with four separately cast and moulded spherical heads atop sexfoils, giving the appearance of a six petalled flowers, riveted to the frame of the brooch.
