3)Flake fragment, the flint is grey in colour. Weight:1.52g Length: 21.50mm; Width: 16.85mm; Thickness; 2.71mm.
4)Probable knife fragment, retouching visible along one edge. The flint is grey with white flecks in colour. Weight 4.16g; Length: 27.40mm; Width: 22.80mm Thickness: 6.27mm

Mesolithic flint blade. The blade has been removed from the flint core by knapping. The blade has characteristic parallel ridges on the dorsal side and parallel edges that are characteristic of blades. The edges are damaged, rather than retouched. See Prehistoric Flintwork, Chris Butler, page 115, figure 46, numbers 4 - 6 for examples of Mesolithic blades/knives.
