Partially polished flint axehead. It is Neolithic in date (4500 BC - 2000 BC). Length 123mm, width 53mm and 28mm thick.
It is a buff/honey colour all over, with a small area of cortex remaining close to the butt end. The cutting edge has a total width of 43mm and has a D-shaped profile. The flaking on each face has been dulled by partial polishing with the edge polished most highly, suggesting this was a working tool. There is some evidence of retouching.
