Silver Roman coin. The coin is a clipped siliqua of the emperor Honorius (395 - 423 AD). Reverse type: VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma standing left on cuirass holding Victory on globe and inverted spear. The mintmark almost certainly reads as the coin is the style of Milan. Struck 395-402. RIC X, c.f. 1228; Hoxne c.f. 721 The coin might have a plated appearance. Only inspection of the coin could determine this.
