Copper alloy Roman coin. The coin is a sestertius dating to the first or second century AD. As the coin is badly worn, it is difficult to identify further. On the obverse is a head facing right. The head is possibly a female with a bun at the back of the head. THe two letters VC are visible around the circumference of the coin. The reverse, again badly worn, shows a standing draped female figurefacing right.

Roman copper alloy coin. The coin is probably a sestertius of Marciana (died 114 AD), sister of the Emperor Trajan (98- 117 AD). The coin can be dated to 112 - 113 AD. The coin is very worn and it is not possible to see any detail on the obverse of the coin. However, on the reverse of the coin it to possible to see two elephants, advancing left, pulling a cart. It is possible to see one of the wheels of the cart at the bottom right of the coin. On a better preserved coin,it would be possible to see Marciana holding a patera and sceptre, sitting on the carriage which the elephants are …
