Edward III silver groat. The inscription is difficult to read as the coin appears to have been double struck.It is possible to read 'EDWARD' on the obverse, the forward facing bust is surrounded by nine tressures and has four pellets in a diamond formation at each shoulder. The reverse is a long cross with three pellets in each angle at the centre. The inscription reads CIVITAS LONDON, the outer inscription has the legend: '[P]OSUI DEUS ADIVTORE MEUM'. (I have made God my helper).
