A complete medieval copper-alloy seal matrix, dating (c. 14th century). A pedestal style seal matrix with a sub-circular base and a faceted handle that is hexagonal in cross section tapering to a lozenge shaped suspension loop with a circular aperture. The die face is sub-circular and depicts the Hill of Calvary (Golgotha) over the monogram IHC. The hill is formed of a single arch with a circular recess below.
