An early medieval Series D type 2c sub variety 3d early silver penny (sceat or sceatta) dating to between 690-710 AD. As Metcalf 1993: 184-190 or Abramson 2017: 65, 8-10. The obverse has a radiate crowned bust facing right with transverse A behind. The reverse has a central cross with a pellet in each angle surrounded by blundered letters. This type is thought to be a continental issue, likely minted at Domburg. A fragment of a silver ingot of unknown date. A fraction of two original straight edges remain, they converge at a rounded corner, suggesting the original object was sub-rectangular or sub-square. The remaining perimeter of the object consists of fresh angular breaks. The material is likely silver: it is not magnetic. One surface is even and smooth showing striations in varying directions. The opposing surface is uneven and textured. Measurements: length 38.5 mm, width 37.1 mm, thickness 6.9 mm. Weight: 55.68 g.

Fragment of a cast copper-alloy brooch dating to the Roman period, typical of a 1st century dolphin fibula, most likely dating to the mid-1st century AD. The complete brooch would have had wings in the form of a cylindrical cross-bar running either side of the top of the bow, but most of the wings are now missing. The bow rises slightly from the top of the wings, before curving downwards towards the foot. Approximately just under half of the length of the bow remains; the width of the bow is the same from top to bottom and the bow ends in a worn break…

A complete lead or lead alloy whirligig toy, probably dating to the post-medieval period, c. AD 1600 - 1900. A circular disc, with the start of a hole in the centre being formed and 11 small radial rounded lobes forming a scallopped circumference. In use they were rotated quickly by means of twisted cord threaded though the holes, so that they made a loud noise.   Measurements: 28mm in diameter, and 20.43g in weight. A worn and incomplete post medieval silver threepence of Elizabeth I dating to 1572/1573. The initial mark on the obverse and reverse is an ermine. On the obverse, the crowned bust is facing left with a rose behind. The inscription on the obverse is 'Elizabeth DG Ang Fra Et Hib Regina.'
