A Medieval silver penny of Henry III (AD 1212-1272), dating to AD 1258-1265. Voided Long cross class 5g, minted by Ricard in London. North (1994: 227) no. 997. The coin is double struck, with both the obverse and reverse face overstruck by the opposing die.

Postmedieval silver coin. The coin is a silver halfgroat of James I (1603- 1625). On the obverse of the coin is a rose with a large crown above, the reverse has a thistle with a large crown above. The coin has been slightly clipped around the edges; the mintmark is not clear, but it is probably a rose, which would date the coin to being minted in the years 1605- 6 or 1623-4 AD. The petals on the obverse rose are in the later style, so the coin can be dated to 1623- 1624 AD. Spink number 2659; North number 2104.
