Silver Roman denarius, Flavian period (AD 69-96), possibly Vespasian (AD 69-79), Reece period 4, with the laureate head facing right on the obverse and a circular wreath or device on the reverse, but the inscriptions are illegible. The denarius looks plated where part of the edge has been recently removed, but as the core is not copper alloy, the surface layer is most likely a crust of corrosion and therefore not a contemporary plated copy.
