A copper-alloy Sestertius of Lucius Verus (AD 161-169), dating to the period c.AD 168-169 (Reece period 8). Reverse legend reads [TR POT VIII/VIIII IMPV] COS III, S C. Reverse shows Aequitas seated left, holding scales and cornucopiae. Mint of Rome. See RIC vol.III, p.330-331, nos.1479, 1484. Obverse legend reads L VERVS AVG ARM [PARTH] MAX. Obverse shows Laureate head right. Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 25.29g, diameter is 32mm. Condition is fine.
