A fragment of a copper-alloy cosmetic spoon dating to the Roman period. The fragment comprises the bowl and a small portion of the stem. The bowl is leaf shaped and convex in section. It extends to a collared wrythen stem. The fragment has a length of 45mm and the bowl a width of 13mm.

A copper alloy scoop or spoon, possibly dating to the Roman period. The object possesses a circular section stem which is bent. At one end the stem flattens to a trapezoidal plate. The plate is worn and appears to have orignally been perforated for suspension. At the other end the stem expands to form a small oval scoop which is hemispherical in section. The cosmetic article measures 73mm in length, the bowl has a width of 5mm, the stem a width of 3mm.
