A silver artefact, probably a cockspur, of (currently uncertain) date. The spur is a tapering bulbous cylinder in shape ending in a point. The open end has an edge that is set diagonal to the longitudinal line of the spur. This cockspur weighs 3.27g, has a length of 23.88mm and maximum diameter of 8.19mm. Two small circular holes are present c.1.4mm in from the edge at the open end. These holes have a diameter of 1.4mm and were presumably used to help secure the spur in place while in use, posibly with a leather thong or thread of some other material.
