Probably an axehead, or possibly an adze, of Mesolithic date. This prehistoric tool has been knapped (struck) out of flint. Most of the artefact survives though there is some damage particularly at the cutting edge which removed some of the diagnostic area that might have helped determine more conclusively between axehead and adze. In its current condition the object weighs 167.98g. It has maximum dimensions of: length of 141.9mm, width 38.4mm and thickness 28.7mm. Mostly a medium to dark deep toffee colour with lesser patches of beige, pale brown/dark cream colour.

An incomplete fragment of polished Neolithic axehead. This axehead has been broken in half along the linial profile so that only one side of the profile survives. The axehead has also been broken transversely to the butt-end and blade-end. This means that the original shape and cross-sectional shape and profile shape of the artefact has been lost. At least one hinge fracture is present. Damage is also present along both edges.

An iron axehead of Early-Medieval date. These early Anglo-Saxon 'Francisca', Frankish throwing axes date from the 5th to the 8th century AD. The example recorded in this PAS record is a type from early in the chronology of Francisca. The remains of this socketed tool-head weigh c.0.6kg (600.00g). It has a length of c.146.0mm, maximum width of c.37.0mm and maximum height of c.85.0mm. An iron axehead of uncertain date. The remains of this socketed tool-head weigh c.1.1kg (1100.00g). It has a length of c.160.0mm, maximum width of c.55.0mm and maximum height of c.61.0mm. The butt-end of the tool-head has an irregular oval shape through which is a sub-rectangular socket. This socket has a length of 39.0mm and width of 20.9mm. The width of the artefact then starts to taper forming what now appears to be a triangular cross-sectioned bladed end. A small partially polished stone axehead of Neolithic date. The cross-section is oval. The weight is 172.06g, length is 99.8mm, maximum width is 41.0mm and maximum thickness is 29.6mm. This axehead is a greenstone, similar to Cornish greenstone although full scientific analysis would need to be conducted to determine this conclusively. A fragment of stone, which has divided specialist opinion. It is not possible to confirm that this piece of stone is definitely an artefact and at least one specialist considers it to be a water smoothed pebble of igneous stone, possible glacial erratic pebble from boulder clay deposits, that has a plough struck spall removed from one side. A Neolithic polished flint axehead with retouch and post-depositional damage. The axehead has a pointed oval to almost lozenge shaped cross section. A lot of the polished surface has been removed by retouch and small amounts of damage. The polished surface survives predominantly along the centre of both sides which then extends, flaring into a fan shape, to cover all of the blade end. An Early to Middle Neolithic polished stone axehead dating c. 4000-3300 BC. This axehead has a pointed-oval cross section. One side edge has a slight flattened lateral facet, the opposing side edge having a subtler flattened lateral facet that could easily be missed during a very quick examination of this artefact thus giving the impression of a lateral rounded-pointed edge.
