A fragment of lead waste of unknown date. The object comprises an irregular-shaped plate with a sub-rectangular off-centred perforation. On the reverse there is a raised triangular-sectioned lug with three small lugs along the tip, and another to one side at a 90 degree angle. The object has a length of 35mm, a width of 35mm and a maximum thickness of 14mm. The perforation has a width of 5mm. The object weighs 17.9 grams.

The object comprises a 'L'-shaped and rectangular-section piece of copper-alloy from which extends an openwork 'curl'. The fragment is broken from a larger object but at one end of the 'L'-shaped piece, it clearly becomes offset and circular in section.The fitting measures 36mm in length, 32mm in width and 5mm in thickness. A copper-alloy sheet rivet dating to the Roman period. It comprises a hexagonal sheet. Two sides of the sheet have been folded over and then folded back on themselves. The object measures 27mm in length, has a maximum width of 19mm and a thickness of 2mm. It weighs 1.95g. With their characteristic hexagonal form, sheet rivets were used to fill small splits in sheet vessels and are usually dated to the medieval period (Egan 2010, 176 and Fig. 144). However, examples have been found in Roman contexts such as at Dalton Parlours Roman villa (Wrathmell and Nicholson 1990, Fig. 72, nos. 51-7)
