A fragment of an unidentified copper-alloy object, with elaborate ribbed and enamelled decoration, probably dating to the Roman period. The object comprises a strip of copper-alloy, which is approximately 'n' shaped in section. At one end, the strip terminates in an end plate. The other end is distorted and broken. The straight 'back' of the object is undecorated, whereas the curved surface possesses numerous horizontal cells for enamel, created with grooves and reserve metal ribs.
