A fragment of a cast copper-alloy belt mount dating to the late second or early third century AD. The mount comprises an openwork design of at least two trumpet motifs. The trumpet motifs are angular hemispheres in section. On the underside of the openwork plate, positioned at the terminal of one of the trumpet motifs, there extends a circular-section lug, which terminates in a flat, irregular plate, which appears to have been created by hammering the lug flat. A copper-alloy harness fitting or belt mount dating to the Roman period. The fitting is flat and possesses a series of openwork decorations. At one end, the fitting possesses a small semi-circular suspension loop with circular perforation. This extends to a larger, flat semi-circular plate with three oval perforations. An incomplete copper-alloy belt plate dating to the third century AD. The fragment comprises a portion of a rectangular plate. At one end there extend two semi-circular pierced lugs which are surrounded by iron corrosion products, probably associated with the buckle frame. From the underside of the plate, there also extends a small, circular-section lug. At the other end, there extend two rectangular cells, which originally appear to have been filled with yellow enamel, traces of which survive.
