A silver Roman denarius of Augustus (27 BC-AD 14), dating to the period c.19-18 BC (Reece period 1). DIVVS IVLIVS reverse type depicting an eight-rayed comet, with tail upward(?). Spain Mint I (Caesaraugusta?). RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 44, cf. no. 38B.
The coin has a pitted and worn surface, with a possible cross-shaped moneyers or bankers mark on the neck of the bust type.
