A silver Roman siliqua of Gratian (AD 367-383), dating to the period c. AD 378-383 (Reece period 20). PERPETVETAS reverse type depicting a Phoenix standing left on a globe. Mint of Trier. As RIC IX, p. 25, no. 56a; Hoxne no. 419. This is an unusual siliqua type for Gratian. Only two examples are known in Hoxne (one for Gratian and one for Valentinian II) and this is the first examples recorded through the PAS.
