A medieval finger-ring formed of a slender band which broadens slightly to create a bezel, decorated with a cross between two incised triangles. The hoop of the ring is badly distorted.
The ring is gold and dates from the thirteenth century.
Dimensions: diameter 19 mm.
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

Circumstances of Discovery
Found in April 2008 during archaeological excavation on the site of Former sports field, Snodland prior to development, at a depth of approximately 0.2m. The find was recovered by hand from a single context containing large quantities of pottery and ceramic building material, interpreted as a demolition deposit.
