A lead-alloy roll, probably a fishing weight dating to the Roman period. If a fishing weight, it can be classified as a Tyrell Type (2015) C4 (Rolled sheet). The identification of such objects remains disputed. It may be a fishing weight, a rolled lead-alloy coin substitute, or a votive object rolled around another object with personal or ritual significance as seen in the Temple of Isis and Magna Mater in Mainz where lead-alloy sheet was rolled around the bones of songbirds and other material.
