Threaded through the loop is a fragmentary further chain link formed from two pieces of circular-section gold wire. The clasp measures 19mm in length, 5mm in width at the loop end. Compare with an example catalogued by Schleiermacher (2000) from the forts of Zugmantel, Saalburg and Feldburg (P7478, p. 180 and p. 182, Taf. 5, no. 8).
