A plated Iron Age gold stater of the North Eastern region / Corieltavi, dating to the period c.50-20 BC, South Ferriby Type. Obverse: Wreath, Cloak, and Crescents. Reverse: Lunate horse left, anchor face above, four-pointed star below. ABC p. 92, no. 1743; cf. BMC no. 3178. This appears to be a plated copy with a probable base metal core.

The plate of the tag is an elongated triangle, with two perforations at the wider end for attachment, whose areas are circumscribed by an incised line. A continuous incised line also runs around the perimeter of the field: at the side of the tag the spaces have been filled with a simple decoration of incised lines, forming a ladder-like pattern, whilst the area at the top is left plain. From the narrow end of the tag, reinforced by an animal mask, departs the long tapering hook.

The exergue is unclear, but this is probably a coin of C mint. Pieces of this type with reverse legend P M TR P III/IIII COS P P are known. This piece could be TR P II, III, or IIII. This coin is noted in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

A copper alloy composite brooch dating to the late second century AD. The brooch is continental in origin and is a rare composite type, Mackreth 2011, 4.c. Plate 114. Incomplete, the brooch consists of four discs, cast as one piece. Each disc measures 18.79mm in diameter. Internally each disc is decorated with a further four distinct decorative sections. The second inner area measures 10.18mm in diameter.
