A gold enamelled and jewelled object of yet to be determined use, possibly a pendant, dress-ornament or belt-fitting. Openwork cartouche, central white enamelled square setting containing a cut garnet, on cruciform with short arms within elaborate blue and white enamelled foliate frame. Triple-ribbed suspension loop, small pierced trefoil at foot. The back of the setting stands slightly proud within incised cruciform marking-out lines. A ‘6’ or ‘9’ incised on the back of the setting. The gold content was found to be approximately 92%, the inset stone is a garnet.

A sub-rectangular gold binding, not a finger-ring, comprising a flat strip, 4 mm. wide and 0.77 mm. thick, decorated externally with a five-ribbed linear reeding. A butt join on one of the long sides is secured on the inner face by a small ?soldered strip (length 9 mm.).

Cast lead shy cock. Double sided it has been broken at the feet and is missing a beak and comb. Shy-cocks may have derived from the Shrove Tuesday pursuit of casting stones or cudgels at a live cockerel which was either tied down or buried up to its neck in the ground (Forsyth & Egan 2005: 239). A baked clay fragment of a handmade malting floor tile dating to the seventeenth to nineteenth century AD. The object is approximately rectangular in plan with one wall extending beyond the rectangular shape at one corner. Another corner is either damaged or worn to a 45 degree angle. The centre of the object has a square-shaped perforation extending to the bottom surface in which there are five small circular perforations, possibly for ventilation. Silver thimble fragment, missing domed top, made from silver sheet now pressed out. Plain border roughly engraved Thinke: on with a gap, then a D possibly for the word Death. The body stamped with waffle-shaped indentations leaving a design in reserve of scrolls supporting hearts and flowers. Late 17th Century, of a type commonly reported through the Treasure Act. An incomplete copper-alloy sword belt fitting dating to the post medieval period. The fitting is olivate in shape and convex in section. At one end there is a collar comprising two horizontal ribs extending to a fragmentary looped terminal which is worn. At the other end there is a square-shaped perforation. The fitting measures 31mm in length and a maximum of 12mm in width. The square perforation measures 2.5mm in width. The fitting weighs 3.9 grams.

An incomplete copper-alloy sundial dating to AD 1652; the gnomon is missing. The sundial is thin and slightly dished; its edge is curved around the top where the edge follows the circular outline of the dial with a slight indentation in the centre. The copper-alloy sheet then has three almost right-angled corners at the sides and bottom, forming a kite shape. A copper-alloy stud, probably dating to the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries AD. The stud head is circular in plan and hemispherical in section. The upper surface of the head is decorated with a floral motif in relief comprising six petals surrounding a central circular knop. From the underside of the stud, there extend two circular-section tapering lugs. The stud measures 13.5mm in length and the head measures 16.5mm in diameter. On the underside, the two shanks are a maximum of 3.5mm in width.

A corroded cast copper-alloy hooked mount of post-medieval date. The mount is sub-trapezoidal in plan with an incurved (U-shaped) upper edge. It tapers towards the inward-turning hook, now slightly misaligned. The mount is shallowly convex. It features two, unaligned rivet holes, one towards the upper edge, the other just below the centre of the plate. These both retain the corroded remains of iron rivets. Silver slip-top spoon. Broken into two pieces part way along the stem. The stem is hexagonal in section and flares out slightly at the distal end where it terminates in an angled slip-top. A lead-alloy bullet probably from a pistol or carbine dating to the Post-Medieval period. The bullet is cast in two halves that are poorly aligned. A casting flash is visible around the circumference of the bullet and there is a casting sprue visible on one side. Its weight suggests that it may be pistol or carbine shot (Courtney 1988; Foard 2008). Diameter: 15.1mm, weight:20.3 grams.

Incomplete post-medieval silver seal matrix. The die is oval and shows the negative design of a galleon with three masts and front and rear castles. This is surrounded by a beaded border. There is no lettered inscription. The shaft is six sided and would have terminated in a loop, which is now missing. The break edges are worn smooth and similarly patinated to the rest of the object suggesting this damage occurred in antiquity. Directly below the position of the loop is a moulded hexagonal collar, which mirrors the six sides of the shaft, and below this is a grooved line.
