Post-medieval silver annular brooch, circular, but now distorted to an oval, 28 x 16mm. Original diameter c. 24mm. The 5.5mm-wide hoop, probably stamped out of a larger sheet, is bevelled or angled and pierced by a circular hole for the pin. Both edges are sharp, the outer slightly thickened, the inner with a ridge around on the front and hollowed on the reverse. The pin is of sub-triangular section and appears to have made from drawn wire, the tip cut to a point. Weighing 2.20g. Description: A complete but bent early Post-Medieval (circa 16th century) decorated silver-gilt pin. The pinhead is spherical, 9.6mm in diameter, 10.9mm high and probably hollow. It is decorated with silver wire filigree. This includes a circumferential rib separating the upper and lower hemispheres. Each hemisphere is decorated with three large filigree circles. Within each circle there are a further three circles surrounding a pellet. Additional small filigree-mounted pellets are placed between each pair of these circles. A very worn copper-alloy Post-Medieval British coin weight for a Laurel (20 shillings) of James I, 3rd coinage, dating to AD 1619-1625 (Withers and Withers, 1995: pp. 12-13). The weight is roughly square in form and on the front face depicts a laureate and draped bust left within a pelleted circle. The reverse carries a crowned mark of value XX/s within an inner circle, countermarkes with a crowned letter I (for James I) at top left. It measures approximately 17mm in width, 2mm in thickness, and c.7g in weight. As Withers and Withers,1995: pp. 12-13, 68.

A silver cuff link dating to the period AD 1700 to 1750. The cufflink comprises two plates, joined centrally by a circular-section stem. A glass marble from a codd-neck bottle dating to the late nineteenth or early twentieth century AD. The Codd-neck bottle is a type of bottle used for carbonated drinks. It was designed and manufactured with thick glass to withstand internal pressure, and a chamber to enclose a marble and a rubber washer in the neck. The bottles are filled upside down, and pressure of the gas in the bottle forced the marble against the washer, sealing in the carbonation. A lead-alloy bullet probably from a pistol or carbine dating to the Post-Medieval period. The bullet is cast in two halves that are poorly aligned. A casting flash is visible around the circumference of the bullet and there is a casting sprue visible on one side. Its weight suggests that it may be pistol or carbine shot (Courtney 1988; Foard 2008). Diameter: 15.1mm, weight:20.3 grams.

A copper-alloy object, possibly a box hasp or fitting dating to the post medieval period. It comprises a flat triangular sheet of copper-alloy with both ends folded over; the narrow end possesses a circular perforation, with the folded end also pierced. There is incised floral decoration consisting of two large flowers (one with eight petals, the other with six) and trailing vine with further small flowers and leaves. The edges of the object are slightly scalloped and decorated with a line of marginal dots. Length: 74.7mm, width: 27.4mm, thickness: 9.2, weight: 13.2g.

An incomplete copper-alloy sword belt fitting dating to the post medieval period. The fitting is olivate in shape and convex in section. At one end there is a collar comprising two horizontal ribs extending to a fragmentary looped terminal which is worn. At the other end there is a square-shaped perforation. The fitting measures 31mm in length and a maximum of 12mm in width. The square perforation measures 2.5mm in width. The fitting weighs 3.9 grams.
