An incomplete copper-alloy sundial dating to AD 1652; the gnomon is missing. The sundial is thin and slightly dished; its edge is curved around the top where the edge follows the circular outline of the dial with a slight indentation in the centre. The copper-alloy sheet then has three almost right-angled corners at the sides and bottom, forming a kite shape. If the dial is held with noon at the top as north, circular perforations are located at the east, west and south cardinal points; the perforation on the east cardinal point is incomplete and damaged.

Introduction
During the machine stripping of topsoil and subsoil from the site a single silver coin was found by metal detector survey within the subsoil on the eastern edge of ditch [109]. After subsequent subsoil removal two more silver coins were found within the fill of the ditch at its eastern edge. Reducing the fill of the ditch in 100-150mm spits and surveying each spit with a metal detector produced a further eight coins, also of silver, and a fragment of copper alloy. All eleven coins were recovered from a 3m x 2m area and were spot dated to the middle of the 16th century.
