Two Iron Age, Iron and copper alloy hemispherical vessels, probably cauldrons. Recovered (on the advice of English Heritage) during an archaeological evaluation undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology Ltd. Description - At least two vessels of very similar form but of different sizes. In addition, running beneath the larger bowl is a large iron object with a rounded terminal. Both vessels appear to have been hemispherical in shape and comprised a solid iron hoop at the top of the rim to which are attached two iron suspension rings, one on either side. A complete copper-alloy finger ring of spiral type (Guiraud Type 7c), dating to the Late Iron Age or Roman period (Guiraud 1989, 195). The ring is made from a single bent rectangular-section strip of metal. The external diameter of the ring is 16.35mm the internal diameter of the hoop is 11.39mm. The twisted metal band is 4.63mm in width and 1.99mm thick. The ring weighs 5.7 grams.

A copper-alloy button and loop fastener dating to the Late Iron Age or early Roman period. The head comprises an elongated oval ring which is hemispherical in section. Where the head joins the shank, there is a integrally-cast moulding. The shank extends at right angles to the ring, before extending again at right angles to form the flat triangular loop, with triangular perforation. The fastener can be classified as being a Wild Class II Ring-headed type which he suggests represents 'a British Iron Age tradition which survived into the second century AD' See Wild (1970, 138). Obverse: Wreath across corded line, hidden face in two angles, stylised cloak and hair in opposite angles. Reverse: Annulate horse right, sunburst above, unclear torc-like motif below. Cf.
